Harber London · Since 2015

Who are we?

Honest, functional pieces, designed in London and made by hand in Spain to be carried for years.

We make the things we couldn't find

Harber London began in a small London kitchen, with a simple frustration: a good laptop sleeve was impossible to find. None of us knew how to design leather goods, source materials or run a business, so we learnt it all from scratch, in tanneries and workshops, one sample at a time.

We are still a small, family-run brand. We keep our designs as simple as possible, make sure every piece is genuinely useful, and don't stop until we get it right.

Today our collection spans tech sleeves, bags, wallets and everyday accessories, but the idea behind every piece is the one we had in that kitchen: make the things we want to carry, and make them properly.

A letter from the founders

Harber began with a small frustration: we couldn't find a laptop sleeve that fitted properly and was made to last. So we set out to make one ourselves, learning everything from scratch in tanneries and workshops, one sample at a time.

Today we still design every piece in London and make it by hand in our workshop in Elche, with a few pieces crafted in Ubrique. We use full-grain leather from LWG-certified tanneries, and our workshop runs on solar energy, because how something is made matters as much as how it looks.

Our pieces are meant to be used every day, and to look better for it as the leather ages with you.

Thank you for carrying Harber, and for being part of our story.

Our approach to design

Less, but considered

We design from the inside out. Before a sketch becomes a sample, we ask what the piece has to carry, how it will be opened a hundred times a day and how it should feel in the hand.

That is why our pieces look simple. No decoration that doesn't earn its place: just clean lines, careful proportions and details you notice when you use them, like a pocket exactly where your hand expects it.

Every new design is used and tested in everyday life before it reaches you, and refined until it works as well on the hundredth day as on the first.

We don't stop until we get it right.

Craftsmanship

Made by hand in Spain

Every Harber piece is made by hand in Spain, by skilled craftsmen and women in our workshop in Elche, and a few in Ubrique, where each piece passes through experienced hands rather than along a production line. The workshop runs on solar energy.

Leather is cut by hand, panels are stitched with care, and edges are painted and finished one by one. It is slow work, and that is the point: it gives every piece its precision and its character.

Because each piece is handmade from natural materials, no two are exactly alike. Every one is quality checked before it leaves us.

Small marks in the leather are not defects, but a statement of natural quality.

Designed in London. Handcrafted in Spain.

How a Harber piece is made

Four stages, one standard. Each piece travels from a sketch in London to the hands of our artisans in Elche, and nothing leaves the workshop until it is right.

  1. Sketched in London

Every design starts on paper: as simple as possible, as functional as it can be.

  2. Chosen leather

We choose full-grain hides from LWG-certified tanneries, for their strength and their character.

  3. Cut and stitched by hand

Our artisans cut, stitch and assemble each piece by hand in our workshop in Elche.

  4. Finished with care

Edges are painted by hand, and every piece is quality checked before it ships.

Materials that age with you

Discover our materials

We choose our materials for how they feel, how they protect and how they age: natural wherever possible, responsibly sourced and hard-wearing, so the piece you buy today is one you will still reach for years from now.

  • Full-grain leather

The most premium part of the hide, left uncorrected so it keeps its natural marks and develops a unique patina. It comes from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG) and is a by-product of the food industry.

  • 100% wool felt

Natural, renewable and soft to the touch, 100% wool felt cushions and protects what you carry. Its raw edges never fray, and it naturally repels dirt.

  • Recycled fabrics

Hard-wearing, water-resistant fabric made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, and SEAQUAL® yarn from upcycled marine plastic, keeping waste away from landfill and the oceans.

Longevity

Made to last, and to age well

Full-grain leather is the strongest, most honest part of the hide. We leave it uncorrected, so it keeps its natural marks and, with time and use, develops a patina that is entirely yours.

Caring for it is simple: wipe away moisture with a clean, dry cloth and let it dry naturally, away from direct sunlight. Nourish it now and then with an uncoloured leather cream, and clean it with a light leather cleaner followed by a conditioner.

Every piece is covered by a one-year warranty against material and craftsmanship faults, and you have 60 days to return it if it isn't right for you.

For everyday life

Designed for the way you work and travel

We started with a laptop sleeve, and protecting what you carry every day is still at the heart of what we do. Our sleeves and cases are made to fit specific devices, from MacBook to iPad and iPhone, lined with soft wool felt or microfibre.

From there, the collection grew into the pieces around them: bags and backpacks for the commute and the weekend away, slim wallets, organisers and desk accessories, all made to the same standard and designed to work together.

Thoughtful details, such as YKK water-resistant zips and pockets for pens and cables, keep everything in its place, wherever the day takes you.
